Yes, We Worship the Same Jesus

There is ONE Jesus. He knows who he is. He knows he’s the only one.

Our view of him does not change reality; doesn’t change who he is; what his nature is.

— There is one Jesus! —

Different beliefs of him exist because people derive their ideas about his nature through fallible interpretation of scripture.

When people say someone believes in a different Jesus. They simply mean, “Their understanding of Jesus’ nature is different from yours.”

We are all in search of this ONE JESUS, and want to KNOW him correctly, as HE IS. Perfectly.

“This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” (John 17:3)

While we are searching, let’s follow the example of Christ for how to treat fellow travelers.

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (known colloquially as Mormons) have quietly endured the pop culture slurs and the malignment of our religion in popular entertainment for decades. Probably because it has been a constant in our lives and the lives of our ancestors for many generations, and because we believe in following Christ who taught us to turn the other cheek and to be peacemakers. Generally I am little bothered by the passing jokes in media and the quirky ill informed caricatures in entertainment. My reaction is to Ignore the ignorant slights and focus on what matters most in my day to day life.
